“The rot at the heart of Greece is now clear for everyone to see”

In 2022, revelations erupt in Greece that give rise to well-founded suspicions about the government's role in an extensive network of wiretapping and surveillance of journalists, politicians, businessmen, etc. In August of the same year, the New York Times publishes an article of the same title with the issue taking on international dimensions. The issue has occupied public life for months, with the revelations becoming more and more dense. The government continues to carry out its work uninterruptedly during this entire period.

Byron Katritsis (Neon) is inspired by the current political situation and creates a drone symphony that is built insidiously using parastatal materials such as parasites, noise, spy frequencies and secret sound curtains.

It would be wise to listen to this piece keeping the volume as low as possible. Shh...
